Safety Scores
Every listing on ScholarSafe includes a safety score (1–100) based on student-reported experiences, neighbourhood data, and landlord transparency. Scores are broken down by daytime and nighttime safety so you can make informed decisions.
Landlord Verification
We offer a voluntary verification programme for landlords. Verified landlords have confirmed basic identity information with our team. Gold Verified landlords have additionally verified property ownership. Always verify details independently before signing a lease.
Reporting System
Every listing, review, and roommate profile has a Report button. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 48 hours. Confirmed violations may result in content removal, landlord suspension, or account termination.
Scam Awareness
ScholarSafe never asks you to wire money, pay via gift cards, or send payment before viewing a property in person. If a landlord requests this, do not pay and report the listing immediately. Legitimate landlords are happy to show you the property first.
Community Standards
Our platform is built on mutual respect. Harassment, discrimination, and fraudulent listings are zero-tolerance violations. All users are expected to interact honestly and treat others with dignity.
Student Verification
Users must be verified students to leave reviews. This reduces fake reviews and ensures feedback comes from real students with real housing experiences.
